Nurse Practitioner

This intensive program often involves clinical experiences in collaboration with a local preceptor, and enables the nurse to function in an independent primary health care provider role addressing the full range of patient’s/client’s health problems and needs within an area of specialization. Most programs take two to three years to complete, and the average salary of a nurse practitioner is between $71,000 to 84,000 with certain nurse practitioners in specialties such as nurse anesthetists making well over $100,000 a year.
