My Decision to do BSN to MSN Online January 2, 2008
Posted by Ellen - RN, BSN in : MyNurseDegree , trackbackI had always known that I would go back for my MSN in nursing but I kept coming up with one excuse after another. The problem was my schedule would not allow me to work full time, raise kids and go to school. Finally after a bout with cancer I decided the time had come. I started researching distance learning programs and started a program in January 2006. I have not once regretted that decision. It is great to be able to go to school on your time, not the school’s. I still have to complete assignments and tests on time but it’s at my own pace. It has at times been quite challenging at times and I often wondered if this was really for me but I have to say I’ve really enjoyed it. I am in an MSN program toward a nurse practitioner certification and now that I’ve started clinicals, I know I’ve made the right decision.
